TV5 has occupied the Channel 9 frequency after the closure of news network CNN.

Manny Pangilinan’s TV5 will call the channel RPTV and will broadcast all Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) games, which will include 3×3, D-League, and more.

The channel will also air other sports content like Gilas Pilipinas games and the Premier Volleyball League. Plus, the prominent noon-time show Eat Bulaga! led by Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon.

Also filling the air time are different comedy and action series, as well as public service shows from radio personality DJ Chacha, journalist Ted Failon, and the popular Wanted sa Radyo show by Senator Raffy Tulfo.

RPTV is accessible through Channel 9 in Manila, Cebu, and Davao; Channel 12 in Baguio; Channel 5 in Zamboanga; and Channel 8 in Bacolod. It is also available for Cignal TV subscribers through Channel 10, SatLite on Channel 9, GSat through Channel 8, and 300+ cable and satellite providers in the Philippines.
