At long last, ASUS Philippines finally launched the successor to its first handheld gaming device, the ASUS ROG Ally X.
For a quick recap, the ASUS ROG Ally X was first introduced in June sporting a substantially bigger battery, as well as upgraded RAM and storage capacity.
The device now sports 24GB of RAM, versus the 16GB of its predecessor, and twice the storage with its 1TB of fast M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD.
For the battery, it now boasts an 80Wh capacity, which should last twice as long than its predecessor’s 40Wh module.
ASUS also upgraded the chassis to offer better ergonomics, improve cooling, and have more reliable connectivity.
Plus, it received new and more durable joysticks that ASUS claims is rated to last for 5 million cycle thanks to new components like stiffer springs. ASUS also tweaked the D-Pad for a better gaming experience.
To prove that they listen to customer feedback, ASUS replaced the XG Mobile port with a more universal USB-C, and one of the two of them is Thunderbolt compatible that let users use third-party docks and external GPUs.
ASUS also made the fans 23% smaller to accommodate the new battery, with 50% thinner fan blades that improve airflow. Per ASUS, the new thermal system pushes 24% more air volume to the device and also cools the screen.
The ASUS ROG Ally X is now available at ROG Exclusive Stores nationwide for a price of Php56,995. It comes with free 3-month access to PC Game Pass, ASUS 4A Quality and Service warranty package, and ASUS Preventive Maintenance Service.
