If you have been waiting to play Dune: Awakening on your PlayStation or Xbox, mark your calendar.
But here is the big news that might surprise you. You do not need to play with anyone else if you do not want to. The whole game now has a full single-player mode. You can adjust the difficulty to make it as easy or as hard as you like and you can also change things like how fast you collect materials and how much experience you earn.
The console versions aim to run at 60 frames per second on PS5 and Xbox Series X. The controls and menus have been redesigned to work better with a controller.
You can pre-order the game right now on both console stores. The standard version is $49.99 (~Php3,000). There is also a Deluxe Edition for $69.99 (~Php4,200) and an Ultimate Edition for $89.99 (~Php5,500). Both of the more expensive editions come with bonus items and early access.
Funcom, the developers behind the game, said that they have added the final chapter, so you can play through the whole storyline from beginning to end without stopping.
Even if you like playing with others, things have gotten less punishing. You can now play on PvE servers only, which means no one can attack you out of nowhere. There are also new tools that let you save your vehicles and rebuild your base. And if you take a break from the game for a week or a month, you will not lose everything you built.
So, whether you are on PC, PS5, or Xbox, you will get the same improved game starting September 22, 2026.
