In the market for a full-on Android-based game console? Check out the GPD XP Plus, which just made its way to the Philippines.
Unlike gaming phones like the ROG Phone 6 series and other Android handhelds, the GPD XP Plus actually has one unique feature that makes it stand out.

The device’s claim to fame is being the first modular Android and emulator game console in the world. It boasts a special controller module that can bypass software limitations like anti-cheat systems.
It then comes with a couple of controller modules. There’s one for MOBA games, another for FPS, and lastly, an Xbox controller module.

As for the specs, the XP Plus is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 octa-core processor with a single fan for active heat dissipation. The chip is paired with a 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage, which you can expand up to 2TB via a microSDXC card.
The battery has a 7,000mAh capacity, which the company claims can last for up to 12 hours of gaming. Dual 4G connectivity is also present thanks to its SIM card slot.

For visuals, the XP Plus comes with a generous 6.81-inch display with an FHD resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. We also have super-linear stereo speakers for audio.
The GPD XP Plus is now up for pre-order on Data Blitz e-commerce site with a required Php4,000 downpayment. It has an estimated price of Php23,995. As per the game retail store, the final SRP might slightly change upon release while the official availability date is yet to be confirmed.
