Rockstar Games is reportedly in the final stages of completing the remasters of the classics from the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) series.

Rumors started to come up when Take-Two suddenly issued takedown notices to GTA mods, which surprised the modders and community. When the company confirmed that there were three (3) unannounced remasters in the works, speculation grew further.

After an investigation, Kotaku revealed that a remastered version of the Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, GTA 3, and GTA Vice City could possibly launch this 2021.

The games were reportedly being developed using Unreal Engine, with a combination of “new and old graphics.” Aside from the UI update, they are expected to look like a “heavily-modded version of the classic GTA titles.”

All three remastered Grand Theft Auto games will allegedly be sold as a bundle by October or November 2021. It will be available in Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series S/X, PS5, and Stadia. Mobile and PC ports are expected to be launched by 2022.
