PlayStation 4

This is the official list of games that has been posted on the PlayStation website, where it says the list is subject to change and may therefore add more incompatible games. If you try to buy these games from the PlayStation Store online, you’ll be warned that they will only work on the PS4.

Other game publishers and dev studios have also released their own list of games that won’t run well (or not at all) on the PlayStation 5.

Ubisoft, for instance, has disclosed that Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is incompatible, along with three Assassin’s Creed Chronicles (India, China, and Russia), Risk, Space Junkies, Star Trek Bridge Crew, and Werewolves Within. It’s been reported that several PlayStation VR games are also incompatible. NHL 17 doesn’t reportedly work either.

It’s possible that PS4 games that are currently incompatible with the PS5 may work in the future, but you’ll have to wait for updates from the developers.
