Have you already migrated your Garena account over to Riot Games? If you haven’t already, it’s time to get to it now, as you only have August 31, 2023, to do so.

The migration started in late 2022 after the League of Legends (LoL) publishing rights in the Philippines and other regions were transferred to Riot Games.

This means that there is no longer a need for a third-party launcher to run LoL as every title published by Riot Games will now be consolidated and use the publisher’s own client.

So, if you haven’t migrated your account yet, here’s how.

Checklist

Before you can start migrating your account, here are a couple of things you should check first:

  • Your Garena League account should have signs of data progression or include unlocked/purchased content.
  • Your Riot League account should be on the same server as your Garena League/TFT account.

How to migrate Garena account to Riot Games

Step 1: Once you’ve confirmed the checklist above, you can start linking by opening the Garena Client or going to this website: https://leaguelink.riotgames.com/en-us/. Login to your account.

Step 2: Pick League of Legends.

Step 3: Click Start Linking. You might see a couple of prompts relating to your Garena Account. Complete all of these to continue.

Step 4: Confirm your chosen Garena League/TFT account.

Step 5: Log in to your desired Riot Account or make a new one.

Step 6: Follow the prompts to prepare your account for linking.

Step 7: Once you reach the Ready to Link? page, you shall see all the changes that will be made to your account. If everything looks right to you, click Link Accounts and that’s it.

If you’re still having issues, Riot Games Support has prepared an instruction video that you can watch above.
