Like it or not, esports is a big deal. In fact, the ten most valuable companies in competitive gaming have a combined worth of $3.5 billion, with Team SoloMid (TSM), 100 Thieves and Team Liquid taking the top three spots.
A list compiled by Forbes reveals that Team SoloMid, best known for multiple championship wins in the competitive League of Legends, has a valuation of $540 million, up 32 percent since 2020. TSM is also known for its personal gaming coach app called Blitz and its moderation bot Dyno for Discord servers.
The esports org 100 Thieves landed in second place at $460 million, noted to be the highest appreciation at 142 percent since 2020. Coming in third is Team Liquid at $440 million, a 42 percent increase.
All three esports companies compete in popular games such as LoL, Call of Duty, Apex Legends, Fortnite, Valorant, and Dota 2.

To rank the companies and estimate their worth, Forbes consulted various investors, analysts and other professionals with knowledge and experience in the competitive gaming scene. When computed on average, the top ten esports orgs are worth $353 million, a 46-percent jump since the previous time Forbes made the list in 2020.
Besides participating in esports tournaments and events, several of these top companies are also investing in new and trending technologies such as blockchains and NFTs to engage with their fanbase while also diversifying their sources of income. In June 2021, for instance, TSM formed a partnership with crypto exchange FTX in a multi-year deal worth $210 million that would officially change the former’s name to TSM FTX.
