If there’s one childhood game that continues to give us more fun and nostalgia, and helps us introduce our concept of fun to the generation today, it’s Tamagotchi.

The way that they find ways to evolve from a humble egg-shaped device to experimenting with the kind of technology we have today brings forth a new title: Tamagotchi Paradise, and it’s something worth checking out.

Bandai initially hinted at this upcoming project during a comic for Free Comic Book Day in early May, but has now made it official. We are bound to experience a Tamagotchi game that introduces the zoom dial, which allows players to zoom in on their pet for a closer view.

What’s more, instead of starting the game through the usual hatching of an egg, which yields the player’s pet, you will be hatching a whole planet in what is called an “Egg Bang,” which will then permit the player to zoom in on the planet to observe life as the critters live in it. The main goal is to enrich the planet and to flourish the Tamagotchi population.

Of course, to achieve this, the Tamagotchis must be cared for from babies to adults, ensuring they stay healthy and happy. When it comes to cleaning up their poop, you may now use their droppings as biofuel for space travel.

Moreover, when your Tamagotchi gets sick, you may use the zoom dial to examine your pet at a cellular level and start treatment there. Bandai has already confirmed 25 care menus, including shops and mini-games.

The egg-shaped device will come in three colors and designs, namely Pink Land, Blue Water, and Purple Sky, and choosing which one to purchase will determine the game’s starting location. However, there is no need to worry about buying all three devices because the game promises to unlock all locations as you progress.

A feature will also allow the player’s Tamagotchi device to connect with other devices using a docking port located on top of the egg.

On a final note, once the game releases, there will be pop-up Tamagotchi Labs allowing players to connect their devices and redeem exclusive items and in-game features.

These Tamagotchi Labs are yet to be announced, but players can already avail themselves of Tamaverse tickets, which will start rolling out on July 3.
