The Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) has clinched a deal to build its official site at the Clark Special Economic Zone (CSEZ).

Per the space agency’s master development plan, their official site called PhilSA National Space Center is a 30-hectare land that consists of two areas: one measuring 2 hectares where the main office building will be constructed, and the other measuring 28 hectares for laboratory buildings to be used for research and development.

As stipulated in the signed deal, construction design and engineering firms PhilKoei International, Inc. and Nippon Koei Co., Ltd. will take on the project, which is worth Php52.6 billion.

Established in 2019 through Republic Act No. 11363, also known as the Philippine Space Act, PhilSA addresses national concerns involving space tech. The agency currently holds temporary office at the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute at University of the Philippines Diliman while its official site is being built.
