It’s been almost a year since the COVID-19 rolled out in the Philippines. And for those who got the jab and want to get a vaccine certificate, it’s now possible to get it online.
According to ourworldindata.org, about 89.1 million doses have already been given and 36.9 million are already fully vaccinated. That’s about 33.6% of the population that has already gotten two doses of the anti-COVID-19 shots.

You’re maybe one of those people who are already fully vaccinated. Now that you have your shots, you might want to have an official vaccination certificate from the government. Here’s how you can get one in the comfort of your home.
How to get vaccination certificate in the Philippines
Step 1: Visit the https://vaxcert.doh.gov.ph website. Click “Continue”.

Step 2: Click the checkbox in the “I have read and agreed to the privacy statement”. Also, make sure you have your vaccination card and one government-issued ID with you before clicking “Continue”.

Step 3: You’d be asked if your last dose was administered more than 2 days ago. If your answer is “No”, then your certificate is not ready yet. But if your answer is “Yes”, then you can continue and proceed.

Step 4: Type your name and birthdate.

Step 5: Type your vaccination details.

Step 6: Review the information you just typed. Click “Go Back” if you want to change something or click “Continue” if everything is correct.

Step 7: Type the words displayed on the screen for verification.

Step 8: The program will look up your vaccine information in the system. This may take a couple of seconds.

Step 9: Tick the checkbox and input your passport number if you intend to use the certificate for travel. If not, leave them black. Finally, click “Generate Vaccination Certificate”.

Step 10: You can now download your vaccination certificate via the button on the top right. It’s a pdf file, which you can easily print.

What is VaxCertPH?
The VaxCertPH is an online portal created by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) for the Department of Health (DOH) to make the application and distribution of vaccine certificates faster and easier.
The portal uses the data submitted by local governments via the Vaccine Information Management System (VIMS).
Do I still need a vaccination certificate even if I already have a vaccination card?
Compared to the vaccination card, you can think of the vaccination certificate as a more legitimate confirmation from the government that you’re fully vaccinated. You can use it in more legal scenarios like traveling abroad.
The VaxCertPH is also compliant with the World Health Organization’s standards and the government aims for it to be recognized internationally.
Is there a fee when getting a vaccination certificate?
Getting a vaccination certificate online is entirely free of charge, thanks to the help of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and other concerned government agencies.
Can foreigners also use VaxCertPH?
Yes, everyone who is vaccinated in the Philippines, Filipino or not, can check their records on the VaxCertPH portal.
Will the VaxCertPH work on my device?
