Downloading multiple apps at once on an iPhone, especially if you have a slow internet speed, can be very challenging.

On iPhones, when downloading apps simultaneously, the system will download all of them at once. Unlike on Android, where multiple downloads are queued, so the next one will not proceed until the first one finishes.

With many apps and games downloading at once, your internet bandwidth will be divided, which ultimately results in much slower speed. Fortunately, there’s a way to make things a bit bearable.

There’s a feature called iPhone app prioritization. How does it work? Say, you’re updating a big-file game and a messenger app when suddenly you have to reach somebody. Instead of waiting, you can prioritize the messaging app, so it finishes faster. Here’s how to do this very easy method.

As an alternative, you can pause the lease urgent app, so all the internet bandwidth goes to the app you need to use, so the download finishes faster. To do this, simply tap and hold the app you want to pause, then click Pause Download. If you want to continue, simply tap the icon of the paused app download.

You can also choose Cancel Download if you want to continue some other time, especially if you’re currently using prepaid mobile internet with limited data allocation. You may repeat the process once there’s WiFi connection available.

These are the ways on how you can make your iOS downloads and updates much faster for select apps. Have any questions? Let us know in the comments.
