If you’ve been following the news, the public transportation fare system is getting an upgrade with the use of Beep cards for cash-less transactions.

Beep Cards are used on railway systems and busways in the metro. All you have to do is tap, slide, or insert the card, and you’re good to ride. Just make sure your card has enough credit to avoid any possible delays.

How to top-up load of Beep Card

How and where can you put load on your Beep Card? Well, there are two primary ways to do it. First, there are online methods to save you time and limit physical contact. There’s also the more traditional over-the-counter process. We’ll be listing the said methods today and see for your self which is more convenient for you.

Reload Beep Card Using GCash, Credit/Debit Card, Bank Transfer

While you can’t directly use GCash, a website called JustPayTo lets you use Globe’s payment service, as well as other Credit/Debit Card and bank transfer, as a mode of payment. Albeit, it comes with a Php10 service fee.

Step 1: Visit JustPayTo Beep Card website: https://www.justpay.to/beep

Step 2: Key in your 16-digit number found on the back of your Beep Card.

Step 3: Select a payment method of your preference.

Step 4: Key in the load amount, then tap ‘Pay Now’.

Step 5: Visit a Beep e-load station and insert your card to complete the process.

Reload Beep Card Using PayMaya

Unlike GCash, you can use PayMaya directly to pay for a Beep Card load.

Step 1: Open your PayMaya app and got to “Shop”, then tap “Others”.

Step 2: Pick the domination you want to load. There are three options: Php105, Php255, and Php505 — all of which have their Php5 fee included.

Step 3: Tap the domination of choice, key in your 16-number, which you can find on the back of your Beep Card.

Step 4: Wait until you receive the confirmation SMS from PayMaya that the transaction is sucessfull.

Reload Beep Card Using Coins.ph

Here’s another online solution that doesn’t require you to go to a Beep station to complete the transaction. However, for this to work, you need to have an Android phone with NFC capability. The best part is, it’s free of charge.

Step 1: Make sure your phone has NFC. If it does, go to the settings and turn on the NFC functionality.

Step 2: Open your Coins.ph app.

Step 3: On the bottom part of the main screen, tap “All” > tap “Beep”.

Step 4: Hold the Beep Card on the back of your phone until your balance appears on the screen.

Step 5: Tap “Load Card” > Choose the amount you want to load > Slide to pay.

Step 6: When prompted, put back the Beep card on the back of your phone to complete the transaction.

Reload Beep Card Using BPI Online app

Step 1: Open your BPI Mobile app.

Step 2: Tap the icon on the top left corner > tap “Payments/Load” > tap “Load e-Wallet”,

Step 3: In the “Load From” section, pick the account you want to credit the purchase.

Step 4: In the “Load To” choose “BEEP”.

Step 5: In the ‘Reference Number” section, key in the 16-digit number on the back of your Beep card.

Step 6: Key in the “Load Amount”.

Step 7: Double-check if everything is correct, tap “Next”, key in the one-time password (OTP), then tap “Submit”.

Step 8: Go to a Beep station and tap your card to complete the transaction.

Reload Beep Card Using China Bank ATM

China Bank cardholders can check the balance and reload their Beep cards on special ATMs around the metro.

Step 1: Go to participating China Bank ATM machines. Insert your ATM card and type the PIN.

Step 2: On the main menu > pick the “Beep Transaction” > and pick ” Beep Reload” (or “Beep Balance” to check your remaining balance if you want to).

Step 3: Pick the load domination: Php100, Php200, Php300, Php500, Php1,000, Php1,500, Php2,000, Php5,000.

Step 4: When prompted, tap, and hold your beep card on the scanning area of the ATM, just below the screen.

Step 5: The machine will prompt you if the transaction is complete. And basically, that’s it. No need to go to a Beep station to complete the transaction.

Reload Beep Card Using EON by Unionbank

Step 1: Visit EON’s Beep page: https://www.eonbankph.com/product/m/49/Beep

Step 2: Choose the denomination: Php50, Php100, Php200, Php500 > Tap “Continue”.

Step 3: Enter your 16-digit number found on the back of your Beep card > Tap “Proceed”.

Step 4: Choose whether you’re paying using your EON account, Visa/Master card, or debit/prepaid card > Key in your account/card details > Tap “Pay Now”,

Step 5: Proceed to a Beep station and place your card to complete transaction.

Reload Beep Card Using Smart Padala

Step 1: Go to your nearest Smart Padala branch, agent, or partner store and check if Beep Card loading is available

Step 2: Provide the 16-digit number on the back of your Beep Card and the load amount.

Step 3: Pay the loaded amount and the Php10 service charge.

Step 4: Proceed to a Beep station and place your card to complete the transaction.
