Sharing WiFi passwords from one iPhone to another is such a breeze. Whether it’s a friend or a family member, or you trying to sign in to a new Apple device, you can easily share your network’s credentials with a single tap of the button. However, that’s not the case when sharing to devices outside of Apple’s ecosystem. More particularly, on an Android device.

I know you’ve experienced it many times. A friend comes over — an Android user — and asks for your WiFi password. Instead of the iOS-to-iOS method, you have no choice but to try to remember your password or try to look for the small piece of paper you wrote it on a long time ago.

Fortunately, you don’t have to go through all those hassles as there’s a much easier way to share a WiFi password from an iOS iPhone device to Android.

Again, since iOS doesn’t have a native feature that lets its users share WiFi passwords with Android phones, we’re going to use a third-party program for this one.

The best part is, you don’t need to download any app for this to work, perfect if you’re in a hurry. Just set it up the first time and use it anytime someone comes over or when a forgetful family member asks for your Wi-Fi password.

Step 6: On the Android device, open the camera app or look for the scanner option in the WiFi settings. The sample below was from a Realme device that runs on Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0.
