At long last, PLDT now has a Fiber Prepaid service, following the move of its competitors that aims to offer cheaper, flexible, and more attainable internet services to more Filipinos. Since it uses a wired connection, this alternative is more reliable than the wireless prepaid services that were available before it.
The PLDT Fiber Prepaid subtly came out after numerous agents posted listings on Facebook. According to the listings, the service will require an initial cashout and there are three tiers that will fit everyone’s budget. Internet speed is reportedly up to 35Mbps, with average speed of 28Mbps, minimum speed of 10.5Mbps, and 30% service reliability.
PLDT’s first prepaid fiber service will have an initial cashout of Php1,599 and come with free 15 days of unlimited fiber connection. Compared to traditional Fiber internet subscriptions, PLDT Prepaid Fiber is only needs one (1) valid ID and there’s no lock-in period. For people with an internet subscription, this makes it a good backup plan whenever there’s an outage.
After the free internet runs out, users have the option to reload any of the three available promos that fit their budget or how long they need the unlimited fiber service. Users can reload anytime they want, without the monthly commitment of a postpaid PLDT Fiber Plan.
