Apple iPad 2018 — NoypiGeeks

It’s a rare occasion where you can combine the words “budget-friendly” and the brand “Apple” in a single sentence. After the iPhone 5c, we’ll be hearing more of it again with the new Apple iPad 2018.

The 9.7-inch Apple iPad 2018 was announced at the company’s event in Chicago. Apple held the gathering to reveal some of their new offerings — both in hardware and other services — for the education market.

Apple’s new announcements, most especially the iPad, might be their answer to the growing popularity of the Google Chromebooks to students.

The 9.7-inch iPad 2018 is relatively affordable so it can reach a wider market. It also has Apple Pencil support, making it really suitable for students and creatives.

But since Apple’s stylus have a ridiculous price, the company is promoting third-party alternatives like the Crayon by Logitech, which only retails for $49 (~Php2,500).

The iPad 2018 is equipped with an A10 Fusion chip with an M10 coprocessor, 32GB/128GB of storage, 9.7-inch Retina display, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel FaceTime camera in front. It also has a cellular variant, Touch ID, and will run on the new iOS 11 out of the box.

Other than its hardware prowess, Apple is also boasting about its software features. The company has updated their existing apps and came up with new ones which will improve how both teachers and students handle school work.

The 9.7-inch iPad 2018 has a starting price of $329 (~Php17,200), but Apple will be offering it to different schools in the US at a discounted price of only $299 (~Php15,600). Apple will also be offering the Pencil stylus to students for a special price of $89. The new iPad 2018 is now available in the US.
