Apple started the annual WWDC event by introducing a couple of new hardware products and the latest iterations to their operating systems for different platforms.
The tech giant introduced its first AR headset, a new 15-inch MacBook Air, and a whole lot more. But possibly the most interesting and the one that most people would really care about is the upcoming iOS 17.

This latest iPhone operating system will not be available until later this year. But, Apple has already given us all the key features that we could get excited about. With that, here we’ve listed the new features we found the most interesting. Plus, the full list of smartphones that will get it.
Contact Posters

The new iOS 17 will bring personalized Contact Posters to iPhones. It will allow you to customize how you will appear on your contact’s iPhone when you call them. You can put your own photos, Memoji, and play with different typographies and font colors. The feature will also work with third-party calling apps.
Create Live Posters

With the new update, you can create and customize your own stickers by lifting subjects from photos. You can even turn them into Live Stickers by applying different effects. Your new stickers will be located in a new drawer in the iOS keyboard for easy access.
NameDrop

Say goodbye to calling cards. The new NameDrop feature allows you to easily share contact information by simply tapping your iPhone on another user’s iPhone or Apple Watch.
Using the same gesture, you can also enable SharePlay to listen to music, play a game, or watch a movie between iPhones.
StandBy Displays

Turning your iPhone into a smart display on your nightstand, the new StandBy feature can show the time in cool layouts, pictures of friends and family, date, music player, etc. when docked on a MagSafe wireless charger.
Journal

The new Journal app works as the name suggests. As per Apple, journaling “has been shown to improve well-being.”
It uses machine learning to suggest content for your journal entry using recent activity, photos, places, workouts, and more. The app can be locked, uses on-device processing, and has end-to-end encryption for privacy.
