Budget-conscious buyers always face compromises when getting a new gaming laptop. Either they go for something affordable but thick and bulky, or splurge more for a machine that’s thinner and lighter. Well, what if we tell you that you don’t have to make those compromises anymore?
The latest ASUS Gaming V16 solves the problem that most buyers face: wanting to own a sleek gaming laptop that’s easy to carry around but also doesn’t break the bank. Now, they don’t have to settle for a thick and bulky gaming laptop even with their limited budget.
Sleekness and durability of a premium laptop for less

The first thing we’ve noticed about the ASUS Gaming V16 is how incredibly sleek it is, especially for a 16-inch gaming laptop. It’s far from the thick and heavy gaming machines we see usually in this price range.
In fact, it feels more like an ultrabook that working professionals bring to their offices or coffee shops. This machine is only 1.8cm thick and only weighs 1.95kg. Compared to the gaming laptop we personally daily drive (around 2.2kg), it is considerably lighter inside our backpack. It definitely helps lessen back pains.
ASUS really wanted this gaming laptop to be taken anywhere by its users. So much so that they also made it extra durable to survive all the possible challenges you might face on your daily commute, grinding at co-working spaces, or LAN parties with friends.
The ASUS Gaming V16 is compliant with the MIL-STD-810H military-grade standards after passing numerous shock tests, altitude tests, vibration tests, and low and high temperature tests.
ASUS truly redefined budget gaming laptops with the sleekness of the ASUS Gaming V16 — providing a full-on PC gaming experience you can take anywhere.
Uncompromised performance for long gaming sessions

Thin and affordable laptops tend to compromise performance, but not the ASUS Gaming V16. You have an option between an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 or RTX 5060 GPU and 8GB or 16GB of RAM. All variants will have an Intel Core 5 210H CPU and 512GB of storage.
They didn’t skimp in cooling, either. It is packed with ASUS IceCool Thermal technology that has dual fans and dual heat pipes with 79 IceBlades. The best part is it only emits <40dBA of noise.
ASUS is one of the biggest names in the whole gaming industry, so it’s no surprise that the new V16 provides reliable gaming performance despite its sleek design and affordable price tag.
Equipped with a lot of modern hardware, the ASUS Gaming V16 handles a lot of the latest games without breaking a sweat. Despite being fairly affordable, most of these games ran with no issues under high graphics settings.
We were able to enjoy titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Clair Obscur: Expedition for hours with no major issues.

One game we spent a lot of time playing is Genshin Impact. From playing on our small smartphone screen, it feels extra immersive to continue the gameplay in the V16’s enormous 16-inch display. Oh, and if you don’t know it yet, the game was really designed to also work well in PC — complete with full keyboard and mouse support for better and easier controls.

With its beefy gaming prowess, the ASUS Gaming V16 is also great for multitasking and professional work. Together with the screen real estate provided by the huge screen, the V16 can be a great tool for photo/video editing, spreadsheets, word documents, and more.
The ASUS Gaming V16 proves to be a great all-in-one device you can use for both work and entertainment.
Large and fast display for full immersion

If it’s not obvious yet, the goal here is to provide a lot of performant hardware for the price. The ASUS Gaming V16 has a 16-inch FHD IPS screen — one of the biggest you can get for the price. It has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a wide 16:10 aspect ratio.
ASUS didn’t stop there, as they also equipped it with a high 144Hz refresh rate. This advanced display not only looks buttery-smooth in the eyes, but also provides gamers, especially competitive shooter players, an advantage over their opponents.
Fine craftsmanship showcased on the ErgoSense Keyboard, Ergonomic Touchpad

ASUS really went above and beyond with their budget gaming laptop. The ASUS Gaming V16 is packed with the ASUS ErgoSense Keyboard with 0.2mm dished key caps that match a human’s fingertip, and 1.7mm long key travel for tactile feedback.
This translates to a very comfortable typing experience. But what we really like is how at home we immediately felt with it. There’s no learning curve to go through when using a new laptop for the first time. The keyboard’s design just feels natural.

For an extra touch, the WASD and arrow keys are highlighted with transparent caps. Talk about attention to detail.
We also appreciate the enormous ASUS Ergonomic Touchpad, which is now 40% larger with a mental drome travel distance of 0.23mm and is noise-free when pressed.

Another good thing is the Smart Gesture that is really intuitive to use. Double-tap and swipe the left corner to adjust the volume up and down, the right side for screen brightness, and the top for video playback.
With years of expertise in crafting some of the best laptops ever made, it’s no surprise that ASUS nailed even the smallest details.
A bounty of connectivity features for flexibility

The ASUS Gaming V16 is equipped with all the ports and connectivity features you might need, so you don’t have to waste more money on dongles and adapters. It’s got a USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port on the right side, next to a couple of LED indicators.

A bunch more is seen on the left. It starts with the dedicated DC-in jack, an advanced full-sized HDMI 2.1 FRL, another USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, and a 3.5mm headphone combo jack. Dual-band WiFi 6 2×2 and Bluetooth 5.3 are also here for wireless connectivity.

So, next time you’re planning on purchasing a new gaming laptop and are intimidated by expensive or bulky options, think about getting the ASUS Gaming V16. Apart from the machine itself, you’re also getting ASUS’s top-notch after-sales support.
Each unit sold will come with a 2-year ASUS International Warranty and a 1-year Accidental Protection Warranty. Plus, a 3-month access to PC Game Pass.
ASUS Gaming V16 is available in ASUS Concept Stores, multi-brand stores, and online for a starting price of just Php59,995. If that’s not cheap enough, you can get the more affordable ASUS Gaming X16.
