HUAWEI has unveiled a couple of new computers in China, one of which is the new HUAWEI MateBook Pro.
Like the new nova 14 series and other HUAWEI phones, the company wasn’t able to reveal the processor they used on the new HUAWEI MateBook Pro. Still, it’s a pretty interesting laptop as it’s the first-ever PC to run solely on the brand’s own HarmonyOS with tons of AI features.
We may not know the CPU model, but the RAM and storage options were shared, and they are quite generous. You can get it with either 24GB or 32GB of RAM and 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB of storage.
It then has dual-band WiFi with 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.2, and Nearlink technology. Port selection includes a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1.
It has a compact 14.2-inch OLED display with Cloud Clear soft screen coating that reduces reflection. It has a tall 3:2 aspect ratio that’s great for multitasking, a sharp 3120 x 2080 pixel resolution, 100% sRGB and P3 colors for photo editing, and 10-point touch screen support.
Keeping the lights on is a 70Wh battery that lasts up to 10.2 hours. It supports a 140W SuperCharge adapter and whopping 66W reverse charging. Also, there are 6 speakers, 4 microphones, and a 1080p webcam.
The HUAWEI MateBook Pro is now up for pre-order in China. The 24GB/512GB model retails for CNY7,999 (~Php61,400), 32GB/1TB for CNY8,999 (~Php69,100), 32GB/1TB/Soft Light Edition for CNY9,999 (~Php76,800), and 32GB/2TB/Soft Light Edition for CNY10,999 (~Php84,500). International release details are yet to be known.
