Lenovo has officially announced the new IdeaPad Slim 7 GTX. The laptop has an Intel Core i7-10750H processor onboard, in contrast to the first model released under the line which has the Ryzen 7 4700U. This new 15-inch model also has a GTX graphics card and not the usual integrated AMD graphics.
The discovery that the graphics card is a 4GB NVIDIA GTX 1060 will probably cut short all the enthusiasm. However, you will slightly enjoy more modern games than the average IdeaPad. There’s 512GB SSD out of the box.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7 GTX also have more up-to-date specs and that includes the Wi-Fi 6 connectivity for smooth streaming and fast browsing. There is also a USB-C port with support for USB 3.2 Gen 2, Thunderbolt, power delivery and DisplayPort. The notebook also features an audio jack, an SD card slot and an HDMI 2.0b port.

The laptop’s 15-inch display covers 100% of the sRGB colour gamut, which offers brightness up to 300-nits. It features the proprietary Rapid Charge fast charging which the company boasts can take the battery to 80% within an hour. When fully charged, this notebook can run for about 12 hours.
There is also an intelligent cooling mode co-engineered with Intel which can be toggled on when there is a need to boost the performance. The mode provides an extra 15 to 20% battery life.
In summary, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7 GTX, is a good laptop for those who want something for serious work and some gaming on the side. Lenovo is yet to reveal the price and availability.
