Qualcomm has recently unveiled the new 8-core version of the highly praised Snapdragon X Plus laptop CPU. Now, brands like Lenovo can put this latest chip architecture on cheaper laptops — laptops that promise great battery life while having a thin and light build.
First on the list is the Lenovo ThinkBook 16 Gen 7, which is powered by the said 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus processor that provides 45 TOPS of NPU power for AI and Copilot+ tasks.
The laptop also features a thin body that’s only 16mm, super-linear speakers, a large 84Whr battery and — being from the ThinBook series — robust security features both at the hardware and security level.
Those in Europe can get the updated ThinBook 16 Gen 7 starting October 2024 with an expected starting price of EUR819 (~51,100).
