Lenovo has updated its ThinkPad X1 line-up for 2023. There’s the flagship ThinkPad X1 Carbon, the X1 Carbon, X1 Nano, and X1 Yoga.
As per the company, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11, 13-inch Thinkpad X1 Yoga Gen 8, and 13-inch ThinkPad Nano Gen 3 will utilize up to 97% of post-consumer content (PCC) plastic for their battery enclosures and 95% PCC plastic for the speaker enclosure and their AC adapter.

What’s more, the X1 Carbon Gen 11 has a palm rest that’s 90% made of recycled magnesium while the bottom cover uses 55% recycled aluminum.
The lightest laptop in the ThinkPad line-up, the ThinkPad X1 Nano, used a “recycled magnesium hybrid” for the palm rest and bottom cover.

What’s more, these laptops are eligible for Lenovo’s CO2 Offset Services program. With this, users can buy carbon offsets based on Lenovo’s estimated projected carbon emissions for five years of device use. Proven effective, the company said that the carbon offset purchases from the ThinkBook and ThinkPad line had offset over 1 million metric tons of carbon dioxide.
The new laptops will also be upgraded to the new 13th-Gen Intel Mobile CPUs. The new ThinkPad X1 Carbon, X1 Yoga, and Nano Gen 2 can be had with up to an Intel Core i7-1280P.
