Smartphones from the likes of Meizu and Xiaomi have superb, svelte looks and impressive specs at terrific prices. Blackview wants to be in on the trend with their own take: the new, 5-inch Blackview BV2000 smartphone.

It’s more about the looks, really. From the contours and curves of the phone to the use of a polycarbonate material for the body and the placement of the main camera, it’s hard not to say that the Blackview BV2000 takes inspiration from the Meizu m2 and m2 Note.

When it comes to performance and internal specs, the Blackview BV2000 takes a small step backwards. It’s a 5-inch Android 5.1 handset with a 720p display, MediaTek MT6735P processor, 8GB of internal storage and 1GB of RAM. In addition, the BV2000 features an 8-megapixel camera, 4G LTE connectivity and 2400mAh battery.

The Blackview BV2000 won’t probably be in the Philippines for some time, but you can buy the phone at certain online stores with free shipping. AliExpress, for instance, has sellers that are offering the BV2000 for $99 (approx. Php4,640) or cheaper. The phone is available in several colors, including green, blue and gray.
