We’ve had a taste of the first-gen Android One for months, so it’s about time we see a refresh: the Cherry Mobile One 4G. It’s not official yet—the local company has only been teasing about it—but the specs of the phone have already been leaked.
If the Cherry Mobile One 4G spec page on PinoyScreencast is to be believed, this Cherry Mobile One successor has a 5-inch IPS display with 720-by-1280 HD resolution, a 13-megapixel main camera and a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor. It further comes equipped with 2GB RAM and 16GB of built-in storage. And the name speaks for itself: the phone offers the much-needed 4G LTE connectivity for faster data speeds. Naturally, as part of the Android initiative, the Cherry Mobile One 4G offers the latest version of Android.
The aforementioned hardware is similar to the ones found in the General Mobile 4G. The recently unveiled Lava Pixel V1, another second-gen Android One device, more or less offers the same specs but has a larger display.
It won’t be long before we fully learn what the Cherry Mobile One 4G (which might not be the official name) has to offer, because the local company is already teasing on Facebook about an August unveiling.
