The second entry in Lenovo’s all-new S-series of smartphones has gone for style and powerful cameras. Only 8.2mm thick, the Lenovo S850 boasts a slim body with an attractive all-glass exterior design.

One might mistake the Lenovo S850 as the lesser version of the S860, but the two are quite distinct from each other. Whereas the latter offers bulk and more RAM, the former focuses on better camera performance and shiny glass design. The Lenovo logo on the back can even glow to a color of choice for notifications and whatnot.

The other specs of the Lenovo S850 put the phone in the mid-range category. Dual-SIM capable, it touts a quad-core MediaTek processor, 1GB of RAM, and a PowerVR GPU. The software aspect is governed by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, with preinstalled Lenovo Premium Apps such as SECUREit and SYNCit. Battery capacity is only 2000mAh, which is neither long-lasting nor insubstantial. Gesture and motion-based controls are also employed for convenient one-hand usage.

Available in pink or white, the Lenovo S850 will arrive in store shelves in June for around Php12,000.
