Motorola’s most successful smartphone to date is getting a 4G-capable variant. The Motorola Moto G with 4G LTE is still the same great budget phone, but it now sports the fastest connectivity speeds enjoyed by high-end smartphones.
To recap, the Motorola Moto G is a 4.5-inch smartphone with an IPS high-definition display. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 400 processor, Adreno 305 graphics, and 1GB of RAM. All in all, these specs are good and the build quality is solid for a phone that’s just $179 for its 8GB version ($199 for 16GB). Locally, a dual SIM version is sold by Kimstore for Php10,400 (8GB).

With its enhanced connectivity, the Motorola Moto G with 4G LTE starts at $219 in the US (149 euro in the UK) without contract. It’s designed with a pure Android experience in mind and ships the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The phone is also guaranteed for an upgrade to the next major Android version. Another thing sorely missed by users is microSD support, which is now present in this Moto G refresh for external storage expansion of up to 32GB.
The Motorola Moto G with 4G LTE will retail near the end of May. It’s headed to more than 40 countries.
