The Android 4.4 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy S4 has started rolling out, just days before the official unveiling of the next flagship, the Galaxy S5.
The update was first leaked last month and introduced minor interface changes and better general performance. Some countries will obtain the update first before others, so Galaxy S4 owners need not worry if an update notification hasn’t arrived on their device yet. Carrier-issued devices may also be delayed in receiving the update.
Last month, Samsung also rolled out Android 4.4 KitKat to its flagship Galaxy Note 3 phablet. Other Galaxy devices will be receiving KitKat as well.
the ui looks like more like native google. am i seeing this correctly? or are you using a stock photo?
Wala pa din ako na receive na updates ng GS4
mabubura po ba ang mga installed apps pag nag-update (GS4) to kitkat
I’m not sure, but I don’t think they get removed.
kelan po ang official na release ng kitkat here in the Philippines?? can I do the update through the phone (S4) itself? tnx
It should arrive within a couple of weeks. You can manually check for updates and install them directly on your phone by going to its settings.
Via OTA no it won’t erase your apps, Via Odin yes it’ll earase your apps/sms/ and internal so better have a backup
Sa gt-i9505 ba yan na s4? Paki clarify lang po :)
looks like this update is just for GT-I9500 for now
