The Lynx line of mobile devices sure seems successful and popular with consumers, seeing that SKK Mobile has added yet another smartphone to it: the new SKK Mobile Lynx Luxe.

The company describes it as its “first sweetest treat,” given that the SKK Mobile Lynx Luxe runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. At Php2,999, the phone offers a quad-core processor, 5-inch display with 720×1280 HD resolution and IPS panel, 8GB of built-in storage, 64GB microSD expansion and 1GB of RAM. It’s also dual SIM capable and has a 2500mAh battery.

Furthermore, the Lynx Luxe sports 8-megapixel rear- and 5-megapixel front-facing cameras. The typical connectivity options are present: 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. And for those who like to listen to the good ol’ radio stations, the phone also has FM radio. The Lynx Luxe seems to have the same cobweb-covered design as the Aura Lite, although the former is clad in white whereas the latter looks like it’s tinted in gold.

Because of its name and price, one can’t help but compare it to other Lynx variations. There’s the more expensive Pro version with a 5.5-inch qHD display and Android KitKat. And then there’s the Lynx Lite that has the same initial price but lesser specs. All in all, the SKK Mobile Lynx Luxe looks promising.
