TikTok has introduced a new tool that allows content creators to use AI-generated avatars for advertising and audience engagement.
This new creative AI suite is called TikTok Symphony, which the social media app says is “designed to elevate the content creation journey.” It simplifies the creation process and make it more accessible and scalable for marketers and creators.
The creative AI suite has two types of avatars: Stock Avatars and Custom Avatars. The former utilizes paid actors, whereas the latter is what creators can choose to create their own avatars. These digital representations are notable for their ability to converse in different languages and therefore allow creators to expand the reach of their promotional content.

Creating promotional videos using the avatars is done in just four simple steps. First, content creators submit their product details using assets or URL and let the Symphony creative studio generate TikTok video previews. Next, the creators dabble with the script and prepare it for a multilingual voiceover. Choosing the stock or pre-built digital avatar comes next. And finally, creators add some fine-tuning using editing tools before publishing the video.
Helping creators identify trends and brainstorm ideas is the Symphony Assistant, formerly called Creative Assistant. Much like with ChatGPT, creators can submit prompts to this AI-powered virtual assistant to help them with their promotional content. For instance, they can ask for what’s trending, what the best practices for creating videos are, and revise their ad scripts.
