Grab, the leading mobility and delivery app in the Philippines, has introduced new solutions, features, and innovations “For Every You” during its inaugural GrabX event.
Grab’s latest products aim to serve everyone with their everyday needs and what matters for its customers, leveraging the scale and strength of its ecosystem and incorporating the latest AI technologies.
“GrabX demonstrates our commitment to harnessing the latest technologies to build solutions that address real problems and serve real needs, for everyday people,” said Anthony Tan, Group CEO and Co-founder of Grab.
“These features have been designed with a philosophy we call AI-First with Heart – that puts AI at the core of how we work and what we build, without ever losing sight of who we’re building for,” he added.
Grab’s new solutions include Grab For Family | Teens, GrabFood for One, Shared Saver, Advance Booking (Airport Pickup), Dine Out Discovery (Powered by GrabMaps), and Grab Travel Pass, as well as the Grab Early Access Programme.
For the Family ‘You’
Grab offers new and innovative solutions for families and their loved ones.
Grab for Family | Teens
It offers a safe and reliable way for teenagers aged 13 to 17 to travel using Grab on their own or have you book their ride. It provides extra safety features, like prioritized assignment to top-rated drivers wth proven track records, ride PIN verifications to prevent teens from getting into the wrong car, and always-on AudioProtect to prevent anything dangerous from happening while in the ride.

Gatherings made seamless
When you’re ordering food for large gatherings, especially during special occasions, Grab has introduced improvements to what’s happening behind the scenes using a tailored Large Language Model (LLM). This feature will automatically estimate your order’s size and weight to determine its delivery mode.
If the algorithm thinks your orders are too bulky or heavy for a single person to handle, Grab may assign a 4-wheeler or use two separate motorbikes. This feature will also ensure that separate deliveries will arrive at almost similar times.
For the Solo ‘You’
Grab has also seen the struggle of solo living, whether you’re a student, an employee, or simply just on your own.
GrabFood for One
It’s typically hard to order solo meals, especially since you’ll have to meet the minimum order. With GrabFood for One, ordering solo meals is made more affordable by removing the minimum spending amount at a fixed low delivery fee. This feature is now live and available in the Philippines.
Shared Saver
This is an innovative way of ordering food for one. Using Shared Saver allows you to discover and join live orders near you with a stranger. Using AI, Grab will detect multiple orders within your area for the same merchant where you can decide to start a Shared Saver order.
This feature will also be cheaper as you’re piggybacking on someone else’s order, though you can also initiate your own order. There will be a countdown timer for you to decide to join. This feature will be piloted in Singapore in April before being rolled out to other cities by June.
For the Explorer ‘You’
If you’re a constant traveler, Grab has something for you, whether at home, in a different city, or abroad.

Advance Booking (Airport Pickup)
If you’re traveling by air, you can book Grab in advance to ensure you’ll have a car waiting for you by the time you arrive. It also dynamically adjusts based on your flight’s status. This will be helpful for constant travelers who struggle with overpriced airport taxis.
This feature is not yet available in any Philippine airport, but you can try it in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
Dine Out Discovery (Powered by GrabMaps)
This is an alternative to your usual map service for new dining experiences, especially in unfamiliar cities. You can search and filter by cuisine, food preference, ratings, what’s popular, and distance. You can also see menu details, operating hours, photos, user reviews, and more.
This feature is launching in Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand in May, with other countries to follow.
Grab Travel Pass
This is Grab’s way of ensuring your travel experience will be as seamless as possible. You can buy your Travel Pass in-app even before leaving your home country, where you can find various vouchers for airport rides, transport, food delivery, and dining out.
