Qualcomm redefined the PC market with the Snapdragon X Series, allowing AI PCs to be more intelligent and powerful while sporting impressive battery efficiency.
We marveled at the new chips during the first-ever Snapdragon X Series Southeast Asia Media Summit held at the W Hotel, Sentosa, Singapore. Qualcomm invited the media and industry insiders to take a deeper look at the capabilities of the latest chips.

Qualcomm experts detailed how the Snapdragon X Series can unlock seamless AI experiences in everyday usage and make it accessible to more people.
Executives from market-leaders ASUS, HP, Dell, and Lenovo also highlighted how ARM-based PCs are driving innovation and are disrupting the market.
They also emphasized how the NPU-powered AI processing of the new Snapdragon X chips ensures smoother performance and improves security and energy efficiency all without the help of the cloud.

During the event, Qualcomm has set up two zones on the show floor to give us a hands-on demo of how consumers can incorporate the Snapdragon X’s AI Innovation into their day-to-day life, work, and creative endeavors.

First, there’s the creative zone. It consists of the Live Music Creation area where musicians play live music with their instruments connected to a single Snapdragon X Series laptop.
We got to see firsthand how every guitar strum and keyboard press was heard instantly at almost zero latency. They also managed to use different virtual guitar pedals, and effects, play with the mixing, and more, all in a portable and sleek laptop.

Made to power productivity setups, Snapdragon X Series chips were forged to power displays of up to 15K total resolutions, great for multi-screen setups usually utilized by creatives like photo/video editors, those who work in the media and broadcasting, and more.
Qualcomm also showcased how the Snapdragon X Series chips passed performance benchmarks with flying colors. The AI PCs posed consistent performance with or without the battery plugged in, fixing the hurdle Windows laptops are known for.

Secondly, we arrived at the beach zone with three areas highlighting more capabilities of the Qualcomm AI processors. The first one showcases the chips’ breakthrough audio experience.
Music creators and DJs would enjoy using Moises Live and djay Pro on these Qualcomm-powered AI PCs as they can handle real-time AI-powered enhancements for things like dynamic sound mixing and control.

Qualcomm also showcased how the chips’ Snapdragon Hexagon NPU allows for seamless image processing like Auto-Cropping and Match Look features, great for headshots. Photo studios would love this one.

Of course, the new Qualcomm chips were designed to work with Copilot+ AI features. Expect lighting-speed answers from the Windows search, live captions, and image restyling with Snapdragon X-powered laptops. Do more by doing less with the help of AI.
With such power and localized AI prowess, Qualcomm projects that ARM-based laptops will own 25% of the market by 2027. From what we’ve seen during the Snapdragon X Series Summit, we’re confident they’ll achieve those numbers.
