Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few weeks, you already know how well the Philippines performed in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

The country winning its first-ever gold medal, plus two silvers and a bronze, is hard to miss. But there’s one thing about the Olympics that you may have missed: a recent petition to include Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Trading Card Game to the sporting event.

That’s right. In his petition, YouTuber Xiran Jay Zhao calls it “an absolute injustice” that the collectible card game is not recognized as an Olympic sport. He claims Yu-Gi-Oh! requires dexterity, athleticism, and endurance just like any other sport in the international event.

As of this writing, over 14,200 have signed the petition. Here’s the link to the petition if you want to sign yourself. If it gets enough traction, maybe the International Olympic Committee will give a statement on the matter.
