ASUS has finally set the date for the official launch of their new Zenfone 5 line in the Philippines.
For avid ASUS fans out there, save the date as the ASUS Zenfone 5 series will be officially launched in the Philippines on April 4.
This new family of ASUS smartphones consists of the midrangers such as the Zenfone 5, Zenfone 5 Lite, and the high-end Zenfone 5Z.
Both the Zenfone 5 and 5Z generated some buzz because of their iPhone X-like designs. The two feature an all-screen design, dual cameras in a vertical orientation, and a display notch — all of which points towards the main design cues of Apple’s current flagship.
Still, both devices seem pretty interesting. The screen on the Zenfone 5 is a 6.2-incher with a Full HD+ resolution, it runs on Android 8.0 Oreo, Snapdragon 636 chipset, and it’s equipped with a fairly large 3,300mAh battery.
On the other hand, the Zenfone 5Z is pretty much identical to the Zenfone 5, but only with an upgraded processor. It comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor — a chipset found on most flagship smartphones this 2018.
The Zenfone 5 Lite is no slouch either. It will come with a 6-inch FHD+ screen, a humble Snapdragon 630 processor, and two cameras in the front and back for a quad-camera setup.
ASUS hasn’t revealed the official pricing and availability date for the three devices as of yet, so I guess we’ll just have to wait until ASUS officially launches the series on April 14.
