BPI announced that it will soon discontinue all its BPI Prepaid Cards.
That includes the BPI Amore Visa Prepaid, BPI ePay Mastercard, and BPI ePay Gift Card. As per the notice posted on their Facebook page, such cards will be deactivated on December 27, 2024, while reloading via the BPI app, BPI online, and Cash Accept Machines (CAMs) will cease starting September 30, 2024.

That said, if you still have a prepaid card from BPI, you have until December 26 to use all your balance if you still have some.
Before you get confused, the prepaid card is different from BPI’s Debit Card and Credit Card, which won’t be affected.
Judging from the confused comments on the Facebook post, it seems like many users are not aware of the service. Hence, it’s no surprise that the local bank is shutting it down.
For those who don’t know, the BPI Prepaid Card is a reloadable card that lets you purchase from stores — online or offline — that only accepts Visa or Mastercard. It’s a great alternative for those who don’t have or don’t want to own a credit card.
