Insta360 has released the third installation of one of its most popular, smallest camera lines. Here we have the new Insta360 GO 3, which is still as small as its predecessor but can now be attached to the Action Pod for a GoPro-like form factor.
The Insta360 GO 3 is still really tiny and only weighs 35g. It has an ultra-wide lens with a focal length of 11.24mm, and can shoot DNG and INSP photos, and MP4 videos. Image resolution can come in different aspect ratios, with 16:9 having a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.

It then shoots videos of up to 2.7K resolution, albeit the highest 50fps standard video recording is capped at 1440p. 120fps slow-mo is also possible at 1080p.
The camera has three video modes: Pre-Recording, Loop Recording, and Timed Capture. The latter allows you to schedule the camera to power on and start recording at a particular time — great for sunrise timelapse if you hate waking up early.

Insta360 also included a FreeFrame mode that lets you change the aspect ratio after the video was taken. This is useful if you plan on shooting content for Instagram Reels (9:16) and YouTube (16:9).
The new GO 3 has a 6-axis gyroscope, plus FlowState Stabilization and 360 Horizon Lock. It can also capture audio with its dual microphone setup.

Meanwhile, the Insta360 Action Pod for the GO 3 only weighs 96.3g and comes with a 2.2-inch flip touchscreen. The GO 3 can slot easily in here but connects to it via Bluetooth so you can control the camera and see live previews even if it’s not physically attached.
The Action Pod then has a 1,270mAh battery and charges via the USB-C port for about 65 minutes. It is IPX4 splash resistant. Besides the Pod, the GO 3 still works with the Magnet Pendant, Easy Clip, Pivot Stand, Monkey Tail mount, and a Mini 2-in-1 tripod.
Going back to the GO 3, this one is IPX8 water-resistant and comes with a 310mAh battery that only takes 35 minutes to recharge. It can last for up to 45 minutes on a single charge, or 170 minutes with the Action Pod. It also has voice commands for easy control.
The Insta360 GO 3 with the Action Pod and 64GB of storage is available in the Philippines through Henry’s Camera for a price of Php26,000.
