It appears that select Coins.ph has been affected by a data breach that compromised a couple of users’ personal information.
Coins.ph has sent out emails to select users notifying them that they have been affected by a recent data breach that may have compromised a couple of personal information such as their name, contact details, date of birth, hashed passwords, and ID.
The email did reassure the users that their funds were “safe and secure.”
They also said that they have immediately taken action and tightened their security measures by doing password and key rotation and also heightened their cybersecurity and risk controls.
