Have you tried COMELEC’s new voter precinct finder portal only to find that your status is set to “deactivated” for some reason? Here’s what you can do.
In an interview with CNN Philippines, COMELEC spokesperson James Jimenez suggests that Filipinos can reach the commission via email to correct any wrong information they find on the voter precinct finder portal.
The said wrong information also includes Filipinos who also got a “Deactivated” status, even if they were able to vote in 2016’s presidential and 2019’s midterm elections.

For any concerns, the spokesperson encourages the people to email them via itd@comelec.gov.ph. You can also try calling or visiting their office to reach the Commission on Elections, to voice out your concerns and fix your deactivation status, or at least know why it was deactivated in the first place.
Since May 9 is only a few weeks away, it’s best to have your voter status as soon as possible.
