Demand for tablets in the Philippines nearly doubled in Q2 2021.

According to an IDC report, the tablet market jumped 97.9 percent in demand in Q2 2021 versus the same quarter of last year. Versus Q1 2021, demand grew 15.7 percent.

The consumer market research firm attributed the huge boost in tablet demand to the country’s shift to distance learning as well as the relatively cheaper prices of tablets when compared to laptops and other productivity tools for education.
