HUAWEI’s first tri-folding smartphone, the HUAWEI Mate XT Ultimate, has been introduced to the global stage, making it one of the first-of-its-kind device to be available to the mass market.
The HUAWEI Mate XT Ultimate has a couple of cool features. The most obvious one is the tri-folding screen. When fully folded out, you’re getting a gigantic, tablet-like 10.2-inch LTPO OLED panel for the ultimate viewing and multitasking experience.
Fold one hinge and you’re getting a 7.9-inch panel — the same one found on the foldables you already know like the Galaxy Z Fold. Fold it all the way and you get a more pocketable 6.4-inch panel.
Since the wider body allowed HUAWEI to distribute the hardware better, the Mate XT Ultimate is also the thinnest foldable in the market measuring at just 3.6mm when unfolded.
Being from HUAWEI, the Mate XT Ultimate gets to have a proper set of cameras. It has the Pura 70 Pro‘s 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.4 to f/4.0 variable aperture, and two 12-megapixel sensors with a 125mm periscope and ultra-wide lenses.
Keeping the lights on is a 5,600mAh battery with support for 66W wired and 50W wireless charging.
The HUAWEI Mate XT Ultimate will retail for EUR3,499 (~Php212,700) with a 16GB/1TB configuration. It’s already confirmed to arrive in the Philippines so stay tuned for that.
