Huawei confirmed that its first clamshell foldable phone, the P50 Pocket, is coming to the Philippines.
The unit that we’re getting here is the Huawei P50 Pocket Premium Edition. As you can see from the images, it has a really fancy look created by Haute Couture designer Iris Van Herpen.
It’s dressed in stunning gold color with flowing patterns. It also comes in a standard white color, which may also arrive in the country.
For the specs, the P50 Pocket boasts a tall 6.9-inch FHD+ foldable OLED screen, flagship Snapdragon 888 4G processor, 4,000mAh battery, and 40W fast wired charging.
Around the back, we have two distinct circles like what the P50 series have. The first one houses a 40-megapixel main shooter, 13-megapixel ultra-wide, and a special 32-megapixel ultra spectrum sensor.
The second one is a 1.04-inch OLED cover screen that will not only show notifications but also special widgets for apps. It can also be used as a viewfinder if you want to take selfies using the main cameras.
This device will land in the Philippines running on EMUI 12 operating system, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for the standard White version, while the Premium variant comes with a 12GB/512GB configuration.
Huawei Philippines is yet to announce the official release date for the P50 Pocket. Albeit, we shall expect it to launch alongside the P50 Pro.
