lazada philippines cash on delivery international

Amazon is yet to arrive in the Philippines — and we don’t mind them taking their time as Lazada Philippines has been killing the game lately.  Recently, the biggest online retailer in the country has announced that they will now support Cash on Delivery for international items.

There’s no denying how the Cash on Delivery (CoD) service improved the overall state of e-Commerce in the country. Back in the day, online selling has a stigma attached to it where advance payment and credit cards were the only options. In turn, people feared of getting scammed and losing their hard earned money.

Cash on Delivery also gave non-credit card holders a chance to shop online. In a country where not a lot of people have credit cards, CoD is really important because there’s a huge market left untapped.

The CoD mode of payment in Lazada was only available to the products that are sourced locally — but not until recently. As per their home page, Cash on Delivery is now available to over 17 million the products that will be coming abroad.

But other than that announcement, Lazada Philippines didn’t reveal further details about this promo. However, the new feature is now available, and the online retail giant is celebrating this feat by offering up to 70% off on different International Deals.
