Crypto hardware wallet maker Ledger has revealed its latest product dubbed as the Ledger Stax.

Ledger’s new Stax wallet is a more advanced product that surpasses the Ledger Nano S and its siblings, which are smaller and has less features. It was designed by Tony Fedell, a former Apple engineer who previously worked on the iconic iPod Classic.

The Ledger Stax wallet features an E Ink technology on a rectangular screen resembling that of a smartphone. It works in the same way as other Ledgers, allowing users to store their Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in a secure, offline cold storage. There’s also a customizable display which can be used to show photos and NFTs.

This product launch is timely, especially in light of the recent FTX exchange fiasco, which resulted in significant financial losses for customers who had their cryptocurrency held by the exchange.

The Ledger Stax is now available for pre-order for a price of $279, with an estimated delivery date of March 2023.
