Marshall, the company that’s basically known for its audio and amplifier equipment, has unveiled the Stockwell. The company calls it “the biggest little travel speaker in its class.”

It’s not the usual bulky speakers the brand has made. Donning the appearance of an amplifier, the Marshall Stockwell travel speaker weighs 1.20kg and measures 260 x 140mm. To give you an idea, it’s lighter than an adult human brain and about half the size of a shoebox.

But don’t underestimate the Stockwell for its size; it can blow you away thanks to two 2.25-inch woofers and two-channel Class D amplifiers. When it comes to connectivity, the Stockwell has Bluetooth 4.0 + EDR, 3.5mm audio port and a USB port for your smartphone. It has a built-in microphone, to boot, for when you somehow need to turn this thing into a speakerphone. As a portable device, the Stockwell uses non-removable Li-Ion batteries that deliver up to 25 hours of audio playback.

The official US price for the Marshall Stockwell is $229 (approx. Php10,740). Make it $259 (Php12,150) if you want it bundled with a flipcover, which by itself costs $40 (Php1,880).

Marshall previously unveiled the London, a smartphone that’s designed for audiophiles, in July.
