Neo Philippines has launched a new device that can run both Android and Windows—the tablet-laptop hybrid Neo Shift N81.
A device that’s specifically designed for users on-the-go, the Neo Shift N81 is an 8.9-inch hybrid laptop with 32GB of onboard storage, dual cameras and 2GB of RAM. It’s powered by the Intel z3735F Baytrail, a quad-core processor clocked at 1.33GHz. The 1280-by-800 IPS display can be detached from the keyboard dock, essentially turning it into a tablet computer.
Connectivity options include 3G (data), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro-HDMI, micro-USB and microSD. The battery has a 4800mAh capacity.

Neo hasn’t specified how the Shift N81’s dual platform technology works, but we’re guessing the user must choose an OS to boot after turning on the device. He can choose between Android 4.4 KitKat and Windows 10. It’s rather odd that Neo Philippines didn’t go for a more recent version of Android, but KitKat should still suffice for light mobile computing and casual games. Naturally, for full-fledged productivity sessions, you can’t go wrong with Windows 10.
The Neo Shift N81 costs Php8,999.
