One of HMD Global’s strong qualities is to make their existing and upcoming customers happy. So, they are always committed to providing new software updates in the Nokia handsets that they brought to the market.
This time, the company reassures their Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 customers that they will be bringing the highly-anticipated Android P upgrade to their handsets. This announcement came earlier than Google coming up with an official name for the Android P update.
The word came from Juho Sarvikas himself, HMD Global CEO, via an inquiry on Twitter. A user asked Juho if the Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 (2017) will get the Android P update, and the CEO confidently provided a short answer saying “Yes, they will”.

With this, we can also expect the upcoming new version of Android to arrive in Nokia’s higher-end devices such as the Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 8 Sirocco, and more.
Moving on, it looks like HMD Global will also strengthen their budget-friendly line-up, as a recent report suggests that a certain Nokia 3 (2018) might be on its way.
The information came from a user agent profile, which shows a smartphone named Nokia 3.1. And judging by how Nokia is naming their smartphones, this is most definitely the Nokia 3 (2018).

There are not a lot of details available about this upcoming device just yet. But looking back at the Nokia 3 that we have now, it will most likely have some entry-level specs.
The current Nokia 3 has a 5-inch HD screen, a MediaTek quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and an 8-megapixel camera in front and back. If we were to speculate, we can expect the Nokia 3 (2018) to have the same screen size and resolution, a better chipset, and an upgraded camera features.
But then again, the information surrounding this device is still premature. We can expect all the leaked details to be more accurate and visual as the time goes by. Until then, your guess is as good as ours.
