OPPO is also one of the biggest names at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona, Spain, and showcased its new smart glasses and AI center.
The OPPO Air Glass 3 gives you access to OPPO’s AndesGPT model through a smartphone for a “burdenless” AI experience. It has an AI voice assistant that’s powered by the AndesGPT. Plus, it has touch sensors so you can control music, answer calls, browse images, and show other implementations.

Talking to the voice assistant and making voice calls are made possible by the four microphones with better noise isolation. OPPO also said it has high-quality speakers, too. The glass only weighs 50g with OPPO’s resin waveguide with a 1.70 refractive index. Plus, 1000 nits of peak eye brightness.

OPPO also announced that it established an OPPO AI Center last February 10. It’s a dedicated hub that will focus OPPO’s resources towards research and development in AI and “drive cutting-edge, user-centric exploration of technology and applications that aim to bring the benefits of AI to everyone.”
The company also said that the OPPO Reno11 series and the OPPO Find N3 for the global market will get an update with generative AI features, which include the OPPO AI Eraser later this year. OPPO also highlighted that, as of December 31, 2023, they have filed over 3,160 AI-related patents.

There’s also OPPO’s Smartphone White Paper that provides a comprehensive study and outlook on key applications and future trends in AI.

OPPO was also joined by Qualcomm Technologies and motion vision sensor startup AlpsenTek to demo their collaborative efforts in developing Hybrid Vision Sensing tech that uses the new AI Motion algorithm.
