oppo r11s

Shortly after the OPPO F5’s official announcement in the Philippines, the OPPO R11s has been spotted on the company’s official website in China. And as expected, it boasts the same 18:9 screen.

As the name suggests, the OPPO R11s is the close sibling of the R11 and R11 Plus, which were announced back in June. The new R11s is pretty much the same with its older brothers, only this time, it will now sport an almost borderless screen with its 18:9 aspect ratio.

The resolution is also bumped up a little to accommodate its taller and bigger screen real estate. What we have here is a 6-inch AMOLED screen with a FHD+ resolution.

Since the front of the device has been dominated the screen, the fingerprint scanner has been relocated at the back. Also, the capacitive buttons are now moved on-screen.

OPPO’s R series of smartphones has its focus on the rear camera, so it’s no surprise that it has a 20-megapixel and 16-megapixel dual-camera setup at the back. Meanwhile, the front features a 16-megapixel shooter.

The R11s also gets the same chipset from the R11 and R11 Plus. It’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor, with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. We can also expect it to run on OPPO’s ColorOS 3.2 interface that’s tailored with Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

The shop page also shows that the OPPO R11s will be available in Champagne Gold, Black, and Red. The device is set to be officially unveiled on November 2. By then, we’ll already have the full list of specs for this one so be on the lookout.
