Sony’s latest midrange smartphone is set to arrive in the Philippines. While the company’s arm in the country is still mum about its availability, they spilled how much it will cost.
Revealed at IFA 2017 back in September, the Sony Xperia XA1 Plus will arrive in the country with a price of Php16,990. With such price tag, the device will go head-to-head with the Vivo V7+ and other popular midrange smartphones today like the Huawei Nova 2i and the newly announced OPPO F5.
But unlike its competitors, it doesn’t have a trendy 18:9 aspect ratio display. It has a large 5.5-inch screen with Full HD resolution and it’s also powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core processor with 4GB of RAM.
Sony is well-known for their camera prowess. Hence, what we have here is an 8-megapixel shooter in front, and a 13-megapixel sensor at the back. The company is also throwing in NFC, a rare feat in this price segment.
Lastly, the handset is powered by a 3430mAh battery which can be easily topped up by its Pump Express+ quick-charging capability.
