HMD Global is manufacturing The Boring Phone, a device from the minds of Heineken and creative company Bodega.
As the name suggests, The Boring Phone is made to be as straightforward as possible so it’s free from distractions and will allow users to spend more time in the real world. No social media and other apps that take too much of your attention.

The device is based on the Nokia 2660 Flip. It has a 2.8-inch QVGA screen with a 320 x 240-pixel resolution and a secondary 1.77-inch cover screen so you can easily see the time and notifications.
In addition, there’s a 0.3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, FM radio, headphone jack, and Mocor RTOS for the software. It can accommodate two SIM cards, has 4G connectivity, 128GB of expandable storage via a microSD card, and up to a week of battery life via the 1,450mAh module.

Heineken, the popular beer maker, said that the device is only made for you to text your friends for directions, which could possibly be to a party or get-together, where you share a beer or two and actually have fun face-to-face without a distracting smartphone getting in the way.
From what it looks like, The Boring Phone will not be available commercially as the limited 5,000 units will be distributed through giveaways and special promotions.
