iPhone 8 512GB leak

As its official unveiling comes near, top-secret information about the iPhone 8 just keeps on leaking. And on this new one, it’s been rumored that there’s going to be a crazy iPhone 8 512GB model.

Yup, you heard it right  512GB of storage. That’s even bigger than SSDs found on most PCs today. Imagine not having to worry about running out of storage, a dilemma that most 16GB iPhone owners know so well.

Based on a post in Weibo, the iPhone 8 will be available in three storage variants: 64GB, 128GB, and 512GB configurations. The leaker also posted the image below, which appears to be the storage 64GB storage chip that was manufactured by Sandisk.

The source also added that both the 64GB and 256GB memory will come from Sandisk and Toshiba, while the 512GB chip will be manufactured by Samsung and Hynix.

Since we don’t have any tangible evidence that a 512GB variant does exist, we’ll take this information with a grain of salt. After all, it’s just a leak. We’ll just have to wait for the official word from Apple when they officially unveil the next iPhone — which is expected to be on September 12.
